St. John's Town Center

VCC was responsible for the expansion to the existing St. John’s Town Center located in Jacksonville, Florida. At 20-years old, this is the fourth expansion that caps off the luxury wing of the retail destination center. The architectural style is contemporary and high-end. This new project is located on what was an existing parking lot.

Two new retails buildings were added to the center. Both buildings are shell retail buildings with several demised spaces therein. New parking and signage was added to accommodate the expansion. Located in a hurricane-rated area, the steel structures were designed to handle extraordinary loads. Accessing the small staging area and coordinating safety concerns within a retail center that remained open during construction, along with ordering specialty items with long lead times, were all key features on this project.
