Lorena Heights

Lorena Heights Apartments consist of two four-story buildings containing 112 apartment units in total. The multi-family project consists of 112,340 square feet with an additional 154,049 square feet of parking. There were unique challenges on this project as it was a brownfield site and required special handling and extensive environmental coordination. Approximately 90,000 cubic yards of soil was hauled off during site preparation. Additionally there is an existing historic church on the site to be partially demolished and relocated. Ultimately the church was incorporated in the project as a clubhouse.

Lorena Heights Apartments required close coordination with LA City and fire department, and VCC successfully communicated and worked alongside the necessary parties.  The project has private funding with a grant from state for sitework and remediation.
